Our most recent Achievements are Red Wine of the Year for our 2008 Qwam Qwmt Syrah at Cornucopia in Whistler, BC; Gold for our 2008 Qwam Qwmt Pinot Noir and 2010 Qwam Qwmt Icewine and Silver for both 2008 & 2009 Qwam Qwmt Cabernet Sauvignon at the Wine Access 2011 Canadian Wine Awards
We are also still ranked #4 in the Top Wineries of Canada by Wine Access Magazine.
DESERT CULTURE CENTRE LEGACY FUND
Nk'Mip Cellars is proud to announce that we donate $1.00 from every bottle of the Qwam Qwmt series wines sold at the winery to the Desert Cultural Centre Legacy Fund. This is a permanent legacy fund established with the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan. The non-profit foundation's mandate is cultural education and environmental stewardship. The Osoyoos Indian Band reserve inhabits some of the last large tracts of desert lands left in Canada. Nk'Mip Cellars has made it their goal to give back to this fragile ecosystem. Nk'Mip Cellars winemaker, Randy Picton, states that, "We have the utmost respect for our surrounding lands that we rely so heavily on to give us our quality grapes. It is wonderful that we can give back through the resulting wines."
